About the role
Protective Services Officers are sworn staff members of the Queensland Police Service. They have legislative powers to provide security to State Government buildings and assets, whilst working closely with Queensland Police Officers. Protective Services Officers are governed under the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000.
Commitment to diversity
Protective Services Group offers unique and inclusive opportunities for a diverse group of people in varied environments. Our organisation’s commitment is to improving the health, well-being, and safety of our people, families and workplaces.
First Nations Service Delivery
At Protective Services Group, we’re committed to creating genuine and lasting opportunities for First Nations peoples. Through our First Nations Service Delivery, we work in partnership with communities to build local employment, strengthen safety, and support self-determination.
This initiative reflects our belief that strong communities are built from within. By empowering local people to serve and protect their own communities, we’re helping to create meaningful careers, stronger connections, and safer places across Queensland.
How we value diversity
Diversity is at the heart of how Protective Services Group operates. Our workforce reflects the communities we serve - people of different ages, backgrounds, and experiences working together with a shared purpose. By embracing inclusion, we create a workplace where everyone can contribute, grow, and belong.
We believe that valuing diversity strengthens our team and the quality of service we deliver. Diversity fosters understanding, innovation, and connection. All essential for building trust with the people and places we protect.
At Protective Services Group, everyone has a role to play in creating a culture of respect, equity, and belonging. Together, we’re stronger, more adaptable, and better equipped to serve Queensland’s diverse community.
